One way to cope with feeling unsettled or frustrated with the abnormality of things is to write poems. LCC math teacher Mr. Griesemer wanted to allow for creativity and expression in his math class, so he created an extra credit assignment for his students. They were asked to express their quarantine experiences through haikus and poems. The parameters were to write a short piece discussing their feelings during this Covid-19 outbreak. “This is an opportunity for me to get to know my students more,” said Mr. Griesemer.
Here are some of the extraordinary submissions! THANK YOU to the students who allowed us to share their work!
